Weston Bible Week

Bible Week 2010

Reverend Canon George Kovoor, Principal of Trinity College Bristol, comes to Weston to talk about 'The Churches' Mission' at Weston Bible Week, this September.

We live in a fast paced world where balances of power, advances in technology and Christian influence are continually changing.

In various parts of the world the Church, as a community of faith, grows to epic proportions. Even When faced with persecution, it still continues to develop. In the Western world we see huge marginalisation of the Church and its Biblical Values and morals.

We need to ask ourselves; 'how does all this affect our own approach to faith and what can we do to help see Gods plans come to fruition?'

Over the three nights the series of talks from Reverend Canon George Kovoor will explore 'The Churches' Mission' and what that really means. We can expect challenges to our current understandings, as he unpacks his biblical interpretation and knowledge on The Churches' mission globally.

Keith Hallet, Chairman of Weston Bible Week said, 'We would like to invite anyone who has an interest in the issue we are addressing, to come and join us. These evenings present such an opportunity to delve into The Churches' Mission. They are not to be missed!'

Weston Bible Week 2010 runs from Tuesday the 21st to Thursday 23rd September.

The themes for the three evenings will be:

Tuesday: Recognising Some of Life's Greatest Truths - Romans 6:23

Wednesday: The Divine Imperative - John 9: 1-11

Thursday: We Want to See Jesus - New Opportunities in Mission - John 12: 17-33

The evenings commence at 7.30 at Christ Church, Montpelier, Weston-super-Mare. Entry is free. Refreshments will be served at the end.
